Tiger eye sample

I finished weaving the sample for my tiger eye shawl.  It came out very nicely – looks just like the drawdown, which I suppose is not too surprising! I wet-finished the sample in a washer set for warm/cold wash/rinse, with a towel to rough it up a little, and it came out very nicely.  I’m pleased, and looking forward to weaving the rest of the shawl.

It’s Colourmart.com ‘s 28/2 silk as warp and Colourmart’s 1/14 cashmere as weft. I dyed all the yarns myself, two shades of orange and black for the cashmere.

I love working with Colourmart yarns – they’re gorgeous and very cheap for silk and cashmere!
