Ouch.

Went to the gym for the first time in four months yesterday (we dropped strength training out in favor of speed training six weeks before the Death Ride).  I am correspondingly sore.

I think I’ve decided to change gyms.  I like Gold’s Gym a lot, but they don’t have secure bike parking, and it’s not the best of neighborhoods.  Cars get broken into on a regular basis there, and mine would be a nice road bike in the midst of a bunch of beater bikes.  (I’ve been bike commuting to work to save $$ on (expensive) parking, and to stay in some semblance of shape.)  I’m pretty sure it would be stolen eventually.

Instead I think I will check out the 24 Hour Fitness that’s about a ten minute walking distance from work.  There’s also a gym at the YMCA at Embarcadero.
