The Onion takes on the Tour de France

Deliciously funny:
http://www.theonion.com/content/news/non_doping_cyclists_finish_tour_de

I was watching the Tour de France with a certain amount of cynicism this year: it’s pretty obvious that, at that level, everyone is doping to stay ahead. It’s just that some of them are smart enough to avoid getting caught, that’s all.

I applaud their efforts to clean up the sport. I just don’t think it’s possible…from what I recall, there are a LOT of undetectable ways to cheat/dope. I also think that given the money and the pressures involved, not to mention the grueling nature of the Tour de France, there’s always going to be loads of people trying to cheat.

Nonetheless, cheers to the lanternes naturelles!
