Master Chocolatier

Just finished the  PlayFirst game Chocolatier.  Now maybe I can get back to my life.  🙂

Still weaving off the color-changing shawl, not much new to report.  It turns out that I will run out of yarn before the end of the shawl, so I’m going to use the short-repeat (tiger stripes) yarn to fill in the rest.  It will mean a lot of short, repeating stripes at the end of the shawl, but there’s not much else I can do about it, and I think it will still look good.

Starting to cut out and assemble the muslin for the coat.  I plan to do two mockups, actually: one in muslin (for the general fit) and one in a heavier,  coarser fabric that’s intended to simulate the actual coat fabric.  Given how much labor is involved, I am NOT going to make fitting mistakes with this coat!  (I will instead make a whole new set of mistakes, carefully crafted and custom-fitted to each individual context.  I take pride in being an artisan mistake-maker, or should that be a couturiere of error?)
