Fabric, beautiful fabric!

I should really have waited to take this photo until after I had the two-yard “sample” wet-finished, but I couldn’t stand the suspense!

So here it is:

big sample, before wet finishing

It’s actually a terrible photo – the lighting is all wrong, there was a mirror reflecting the flash back onto the fabric in weird ways, and so on – but ignore all that: the fabric is GORGEOUS!  It looks regal, just draped on the dress form.  I think it will look even nicer once it’s wet-finished – the motifs will tighten up and the fabric will drape more lusciously (it’s pretty stiff now).

And if it looks this nice in the yardage, well…!!  The finished dress is going to be absolutely, drop-dead gorgeous.  I am so psyched!

A better photo tomorrow morning, after I have the fabric wet-finished…

Your hard work is paying off, the fabric is indeed gorgeous – very lush and elegant. Looking forward to seeing the finished product on you the bride. Happy weaving!
