I spent several hours today doing the first 20″ of hemming around the dress. This involved three laborious rows of tiny catch-stitches, as illustrated below:
This is, as you might imagine, incredibly laborious – several hours just to do about twenty inches of hem. But I am persevering. Unglamorous, slow, and actually pretty boring – but it’s got to be done, so I am plugging away at it. Complaining about work never got it done faster!
I have also posted an entry about my Lava Flow collapse weave shawl – a quick project, but one which turned out quite well! And what better way to start the Chinese Year of the Tiger than with a tiger-striped shawl?
