Proud to present…

…the “official” shots of the wedding ensemble, for entry to the HGA Fashion Show!

First, the two shots that are being sent to HGA:

Handwoven wedding dress, coat portion - "Eternal Love"
Official photo of the wedding-coat for entry into the Convergence 2010 Fashion Show
Handwoven wedding dress - "Eternal Love"
Official photo of the wedding-dress for entry into the Convergence 2010 Fashion Show

I’m only allowed to send two photos per entry, and I am entering them as a single ensemble entry, so I only get one photo of each garment.  I felt the coat was best captured on the dress form without me, so that’s what we used.

(These photos, incidentally, are courtesy of my friend Joe Decker, who is a total-genius  nature photographer.  Go to his site and check out his work!  You’ll be amazed.)

Joe also took a bunch of other gloriously beautiful photos.  I’ve left them large-size, so you can zoom in and check out the detail, but each file is about 500K, so they are fairly large.  Worth the time to download, though!

The coat:

Handwoven wedding dress, handwoven eternity knot

Handwoven wedding dress, handwoven double happiness character

And, the dress:

I’m going to throw these onto a CD and mail them to HGA as well.  There’s a possibility of having an article on the dress in Shuttle, Spindle, and Dyepot, and I’m hoping to goose those odds with some really brilliant photos.

Tomorrow I will get the swatches ready for the Fashion Show.  I’m planning to put a little Alencon lace and maybe a few pearls onto the dress swatch, and the double-happiness characters and gold trim onto the coat swatch.  I’ll also get the photos printed, and get the i’s dotted and the t’s crossed on the entry form.

The name of this ensemble, incidentally, is “Eternal Love”.  🙂
