Invitations

Sharon and I decided yesterday that the next few steps on dress and coat should all be done by Sharon: fiddly, high-skill work that I would hesitate to do on my own.  So she has taken both dress and coat, and we’ll check back in on Wednesday to see if there’s more I can do.  Meanwhile, of course, I am free as the air, which means it’s time to work on…

…wedding invitations!

Here’s my current draft:

Somehow having it there, in black and white (well, chocolate and cream 🙂 ), makes it seem more real.  Hey, folks!  I’m getting married!!  Isn’t that amazing??

This isn’t by any means final, but I kind of like the look of it.

Meanwhile, the dress form is nearly complete; I’m sewing the cover for it now.  After that I will need to sew the black stretch velvet drape for it, and I’ll be ready to move on to the next one!

Well, of course it’s chocolate and cream! With your interests and talents, what else could it be? I love the picture for the front. It ties your beautiful coat in perfectly.

where are you getting married? Church? Beach? Garden? House? Club?
The invitations are gorgeous, but, knowing you, albeit via the ‘net, one would expect nothing less!

    Tien,

Your invitations are beautiful! I thought you might like to know that there are double happiness embossers available. I happened to get Paper Source’s catalog recently and saw one: http://www.paper-source.com/cgi-bin/paper/item/Double-Happiness-Embossing-Plates/2770.030/4207501116.html

You can google for other sources, too.

I’m enjoying following the saga of your fantastic wedding dress and coat. Much happiness to you.

    Toni
