Alleluia! I love it.
It has a much cleaner, lighter “feel” than the collared version, and the lines flow nicely. I may tweak the front curve just a trifle where it crosses the bust – but then again maybe not, I’ll have to mull that over.
The Photoshop simulation suggests that the back is now unbalanced, however:
Oddly, though there is almost exactly the same amount of gold showing in both portions, the balance is totally different. I think I will change the curve on the back to be similar to the curve in front. The big purple bulge in the middle has too much “weight” and feels awkward.
Tomorrow morning I’ll go see Sharon again, to get her thoughts on the design and her help fitting the garment. Then, in the afternoon, I’ll dye the panels for muslin #11. This one will include a mockup of the colors.
