Sneak peek

Wondered what muslin #11 is looking like?  Well, here’s a sneak peek:

Muslin #11, partially sewn
Muslin #11, partially sewn

Yeah.  It’s gonna be gorgeous.

I have found a few flaws in my pattern, which means I will have to re-cut one of the back panels.  I also need to put on the facings, press the seams, turn up the hems, yadda yadda yadda, but I already know the important thing: it’s going to be spectacular.  If the color-play looks that good in a crudely dyed muslin, just imagine it in the actual fabric!  I am dying to see it in the real fabric.

But first, I must finish perfecting the fit…which means back to Illustrator to redesign and recut my muslin!

Watch this space!  I expect to finish muslin #11 tomorrow.

Been watching your progress on this and I agree with your decision to forget about the collar. It cluttered up the line of the coat too much. This is much cleaner and neater and streamlined. More elegant.

I wanna be you when I grow up. 🙂 You’ve got me thinking about candying citrus peel now. I saw meyer lemons in the grocery store last week.

agree about the collar. It “weighed” the whole thing down too much…actually kind of dated the look to the fifties. I figured you’d come around to it.
