The sound of silence

I woke up this morning and went to my to-do list to see what urgently needed doing. And do you know what? There wasn’t anything! The book blog is up to date through Saturday (and I plan to spend the plane flight working on it today), so while there are items I could work on, there’s nothing I absolutely must work on right this very moment. After a month of prepping for Chocopalooza, and the five intense days of chocolatiering against the clock, my to-do list’s silence is deafening. Wow!

So what next? Well, first I’m going to go visit family for a couple of days, a well-deserved vacation. We have five fruitcakes and seven boxes of chocolates in the luggage, which should cover us for Christmas gifts (assuming the TSA doesn’t get hungry!). I’ll write a few book blog posts while I’m there, and then when I get back, I’m going to get to work on that sample for Phoenix Rising. I’m also hoping to read through the posts from my double weave study group when I return. I’ve been terribly remiss in reading them – but I’ve been totally confused by four color double weave. Bonnie Inouye is coming to our guild at the beginning of December, and I want to prep for that visit.

But today, I’m just enjoying the sound of silence.
