I am hereby announcing my candidacy for the 2008 California Triple Crown – 3 or more double centuries in 2008!
At the moment, my targets are:
Solvang Spring Double – 6800′ of climbing, end of March
Hemet Double Century – 5,800′ of climbing, mid-April
Davis Double Century – 8,400′ of climbing, mid-May
Grand Tour – 5,400′ of climbing, mid to late June
Subject to change to accommodate the other events I intend to do next year:
The Cinderella Century – April 5, 2008
AIDS Lifecycle 7 – June 1-7, 2008
The Markleeville Death Ride (?) – mid-July, 2008
I intend to take 2-3 months “off” (or at least with less riding) and then start training again seriously in October.
