Marmalades, interviews, and more dyeing

Accomplished relatively little in the last two days owing to a combination of job interviews and a trip to the vet with the Fuzz (who seems to be OK, though we may have to amp up his medication for the irritable bowel disease).  I did get a chance to play with some marmalade recipes, and by blanching the peel twice managed to get a lemon marmalade I was reasonably satisfied with.  I also did some experiments with fig jam, but am still not satisfied with the results – green figs are somewhat bland, so need to be pepped up IMO with some lemon and some orange marmalade.  It tastes OK but not stunning.  Must do more experiments.

Today I plan to launch into another set of dye samples, do some more jams/marmalades (fig, lime, and orange are up next) and prep for another job interview tomorrow. Oh, and I think I may go to the gym.  Friday I will probably do a long bike ride, ditto Saturday and (maybe) Sunday.
